  • Great for Guitar not for Ukulele

    By IndigoCheshire
I have both an acoustic guitar and a ukulele and I figured I should learn how to play. I started with the guitar and been learning how to play off of both Yousician and GuitarTuna and things have been going great. I’m only a beginner and I’m almost certain that I’m making progress. It hears me and tell me when I’m off and when I’m right, I like that. Today I started practicing the ukulele as well and while I’m certain that I’m playing correctly, or at least to the best of my limited abilities, it’s not even detecting it. I thought maybe I wasn’t strumming loud enough, I strum louder, nothing. I think maybe my phone case is just too thick, I take it off, nope. I think maybe I’m just sitting in the wrong position, I change positions, no. I think maybe that my phone isn’t close enough, the volume is too loud, nope, nope. It’s in tune because I had to tune it when I started, I’m doing everything exactly as it tells me to and nothing is working. Or it works for a little while and then not at all. I thought, maybe there’s just something wrong with my microphone, but I was just practicing the guitar and everything was fine. But I have noticed that since the update, the sound detection has been off just a little bit. Maybe it me, like I said, I’m only a beginner. Other than that I like the fact that you can chose whether you learn rhythm or lead. I like that it makes you feel like you’re actually playing along. I like that you have the chance to learn your favourite songs even if it’s not on your level. That’s really cool and very helpful
  • Not Satisfied

    By Yuki Mori
Re-downloading it now, but the app has been not loading certain musical pieces or not logging in for the past two days. I have a mobile game that takes as much processing power on my tablet and it works fine. 90% of the pieces are inaccessible to me now. There are certain pieces that are coded wrong, like the Greensleeves piece, but it is never fixed after I click that there is an error with the piece. Also, since the last update, the practice hour counter hasn’t been updating like it should, so I had to start setting timers on my iPad. Another complaint is that after playing on the piano mode for a few months, and I wanted to add guitar, but the freaking app makes you pay the full amount ($170!) to add an instrument. It’s a good way to learn piano, but I feel like I’m wasting $120 on a buggy system.
  • Crash Bandicoot

This app crashes WAY too much. I have both the Mac and the Iphone versions and both keep crashing after only playing a little. Glad I didn’t pay for premium because I’d never be able to use it at this rate.
  • Great but wish for Baritone

    By Jsookie
This app is really great and have a lot of fun super for a beginner I had to put a capo on my baritone ukulele because they don't offer that instrument. So I'm doing it with the standard tuning of like a tenor. Anyway I should download it because a lot of fun and Teaches you a lot of the basic skills. Hopefully soon they'll add the baritone ukulele, should be super easy for them to do so. Thanks for the great app
  • Something to say...

I love Yousician, but a few updates ago, If your lesson time is up then you can still play just without feedback. In the new update, you can only play for 10 minutes for free, and you need a membership to play for 20 or 30 minutes. In the new update, you have to wait another day to have another free lesson. #iamdissapointedinYousican😥😥😥
  • Deserves This

Awesome for the guitar I’m not going to take a star off because maybe it’s my device but I play the right fret on the guitar but get it wrong but over all really really good
  • Fun

I am new to Yousician and I LOVE how easy it is to make progress! It’s fun to pick up my ukulele at night and do a short lesson.
  • Hard to cancel

    By Boracayman
I’ve tried many time to cancel before the 14 day trial and too many places you have to go to cancel. Awful. Hope they make it easier. But if this kind thing is happening for people who are none techy They can make it difficult to cancel. Program might great but awful service. 😡
