App Reviews

  • Frustratingly bad

    By nastrup
The app has gotten more and more unusable. Used to be a quick easy way to get scores. Now it starts a movie and shows 10 ads and freezes EVERY time you open it. Sometimes less is more ESPN.
  • New video

    By KWheeler28
If I click an notification that has come through on my iPhone phone and it has video the app will open but it will play the video in the background of the app and I cannot watch it. Really annoying.
  • Ok, but slow AF

    By LecheLoco
I’ve had this app for years now. My only complaint is it is slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Point made? Maybe, but seriously guys, you are basically America’s go to for sports news. You’d think you would have figured that out by now. And I’m talking it’s slow always. Even with my 1G mbps WiFi. Slooooooooooooooow.
  • Great, but major problem when it comes to video

    By Irvn
The app is great, but it has a problem that keeps persisting. For example, when I want to see replays of great plays, the notification from the lock menu opens up the app when I press it and instead of playing the highlight, it never opens the intended video. Instead what I get, is the sound of the video. This is a real annoyance in my opinion and the reason why I don’t rate it higher. Hope ESPN fixes this soon
  • Slowest app in the universe

    Hate this app
  • Great concept. Poor software with consistent bugs

    By Treezus Christ
Too many big problems and the software runs pretty slow. Every since the new update this app has become trash af. It use to be my go to app but now it’s just garbage. You open the app from an alert on your home screen, it takes too long to load or sometimes it doesn’t even appear but will be playing in the background. Save yourself some storage and don’t download this app
  • Current version highly unstable

    By Jason The Designer
The ux is fine. The design is fine. The programming is unbearable. Constant crashes. Takes 20 seconds to load content. Autoplay video needs to go. Should have the option to makes News tab priority over Scores tab if desired. But the biggest issue is load time and crashes. Really bad.
  • Political issues

    By Ryantague
If ESPN stopped with getting into politics and got back to just sports I’d start watching ESPN again and checking the app more frequently.
  • Slow, laggy, unresponsive garbage...for years

    By Gunner818181
Im done with Espn as my sports app. Takes too long for anything to work and many times it won’t work at all. This is on LTE or WIFI with fast connection and new iPhone with no other apps running. They should be embarrassed. Garbage.
  • They ruined it

    By Railroad97
The auto play video is annoying as hell. Doesn’t switch smoothly from scores to news. Quite s few sports apps out there and they all seem to be better than this one.
