  • UI - make it black

There needs to be a UI setting for dark themes and typewriter font. This bright white only theme is awful.

I write things down all the time and Evernote is a great way to keep my reminders and information. I love you it!
  • If you’re not already using Evernote, look elsewhere

I can’t help but think the majority of the current user base exists because it is entrenched, trapped, stuck. Evernote was an wonderful idea. A god send. 8 or so years later, it’s buggy on all platforms, search is weak which has to be stellar considering the volume of the notes/databases most of us keep in it. Collaboration is a joke, I can’t edit a note at a same time with a colleague without the note corrupting and creating several “messed up sync” notes rendering the whole idea utterly useless. The amount of programs that can securely do this is plentiful - but not the silicone valley poster boy for such apps - Evernote! What’s the deal guys??? So little effort is would seen would make this app stellar again. Please wake up and smell the coffee. And as a kind gesture for sticking through all this unnecessary pain, give us a DARK MODE option, at least in the PC and MAC programs. I mean for god sake, the web app looks like your trying to blind me. I’m not leaving yet, but mostly because I don’t have the time to deal with. But I want to. Fix this Evernote, please. I can become a super loyal customer with a few things here and there. How about just give all the Evernote platforms dark mode? You can write something to simply invert white to black surely?? That would buy you a lot of time to fix the bigger problems (at least with me). Cmon guys! My business like so many area dependent on your program, big time! Written by someone who has a total of more notes that I can count. Fingers crossed and hopeful, a lead Engineer and manager who chose to integrate you guys full force for our operations division. Thank you. (And yes I will gladly up my rating with a little show of effort).
  • Inferior to Apple’s Simple “Notes”

I never upgraded because I firmly believed that taking notes on a device and syncing them should never cost me money. Fortunately for Evernote, this app’s function worked better than any other notes app when I first downloaded it a couple years ago. Unfortunately, the inertia of having so many notes kept me with Evernote long after it decided to add a premium subscription and slowly but surely take away all of the nice features that made it better than its competitors. Frankly, I’m a simple user- I write notes and categorize them, and here’s the thing: after getting a new iPad, I decided to give the Apple native notes a try, and it was just better. Evernote had for a while started to feel like I was constantly hitting the paywall by having only the free version and every time I opened it I was hounded by reminders of how much more I could be doing if I would only PAY for its services. But notes’ interface is sleeker, syncs on all THREE of my devices (yes, agreed, excessive, but if I’ve got ‘em, I want ‘em to sync!!), searches just fine, and is just as easy to use. I finally decided to switch over- and if you’re slowly getting tired of Evernote, you should think about it too :)
  • Code Block 3 Backticks- Whaaaa?

Was happy to see code block added to the mobile app but.... "type 3 backticks" HUH? Probably the hardest thing to type on the phone. Requires TEN gestures to make this (unless I am missing something?!?) 1. click "123" 2. click and HOLD apostrophe 3. slide over to ` 4. click "123" 5. click and HOLD apostrophe 6. slide over to ` 7. click "123" 8. click and HOLD apostrophe 9. slide over to ` 10. press Return Congrats. You have a code block. Wasn't that easy?? :/ smh

This year I decided to trust Evernote with my previously hand written system. I’ve been putting it all in there. It’s all gone & no answers from anyone at Evernote. Don’t waste your time.

Una aplicación que ha ido perdiendo público debido a que la versión gratis poco a poco le han ido quitando funcionalidades
  • AWESOME!!

Simple awesome! Wish there was a way to send individual reminders to calendar from within a Note. Currently, it's the whole Note only that can be set up for reminder.
  • Refuses to sync remote notebooks and tags

The syncing has been very buggy lately, including in this update. Entire notebooks I have created on the desktop are not showing up as options in the iPad app weeks after creation.
  • Too frustrating on mobile

Key functions are not available as main icons, so I’ve moved this review to 2 stars. First, the “notes” icon now hits you with ALL your notes! A pointless massive pile of things. Reminders on notes are inexplicably hidden, and now instead of using titles during input, it quickly puts you in the body so now I’ve a bunch of reminders marked “note.” Tags are buried also difficult to assign in a note. Lastly, a key space for an icon on the home screen is given to “my account” which I almost NEVER need. These design flaws in the app goes against the whole point of having Evernote on your phone. forcing you to use Evernote how the devs think you use it. Please make the app flexible. Allow me to change icons based on how I use Evernote. It’s SO powerful on the desktop, why stop innovation on mobile?
